Transparency
AHALA has no paid staff and virtually no overhead expenses. After covering legal and government fees in 2007 to obtain 501c3 status, we have maintained our operating expenditures to under $2,000 a year. Over the past three years, between 96.9 and 98.5% of AHALA donations have gone to cover the costs of scholarships and educational programs for children and families in street situations in downtown Guadalajara, Mexico.
